Mahindra will launch the second born-electric SUV next year, and it will be the first model from the brand’s BE range of EVs.
The Mahindra BE.05 is likely to be unveiled in November, with deliveries planned for early 2025.
The concept form of the BE.05 has already been showcased. While the test model of the electric SUV has also been spied multiple times.
Moreover, Mahindra is actively testing its all-electric products under the ‘BE’ range, which are set to debut in the Indian market starting next year. All its upcoming range of battery-powered SUVs will be based on Born Electric skateboard EV architecture.

Mahindra BE.05: Exterior & Design

The BE.05 boasts a bold design with C-shaped lights, angular lines, and aggressive vents. Its stance is elevated, and the wheels are aerodynamic and big, which commands attention, making it a head-turner on the road.
This sharp, modern look carries through to the rear, where the LED lighting emphasizes the car’s sporty and assertive attitude.

Mahindra BE.05: Dimensions

The Mahindra BE.05 will measure 4,370mm in length, 1,900mm in width, 1,635mm in height, and have a wheelbase of 2,775mm.

Mahindra BE.05: Interior & Features

On the inside, the BE.05 is likely to offer a twin-spoke design for the steering wheel with a glowing ‘BE’ logo in the center. Additionally, the BE.05 will have an all-black cabin theme with silver accents and a piano black finish on the center console, which has a floating design. It will also get electrically adjustable front seats, a freestanding digital instrument cluster, and fabric door handles.
Additionally, the new range of electric EVs, where their sounds are made by AR Rahman, where he has designed sounds, including for the drive sounds and experience modes. There will also be Dolby Atmos Audio on offer.

Mahindra BE.05: Platform and Powertrain

Mahindra’s upcoming offering will be based on the INGLO platform, which uses the component from Volkswagen’s MEB architecture. The model is likely to be offered in three powertrain options, featuring both RWD and one AWD option. The former is said to be capable of doing a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 7.6 seconds, while the latter is expected to be quite quicker, as it might do the same in 5 seconds.
The BE.05 will offer two battery options: a 79kWh pack for an estimated 450 km range (WLTP) and a smaller 60kWh pack. What sets it apart is its impressive charging speed. With a compatible 175kW DC fast charger charger, the 79kWh battery can reach 80% in just 20 minutes.

Mahindra BE.05: Rivals

The BE.05 will rival the likes of the MG ZS EV, Windsor EV, and Tata Curvv EV, along with upcoming mid-size electric SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta EV and Maruti eVX.
