Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024 Earns 3-Star Rating in Euro NCAP Tests

The fourth-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift has scored a three-star safety rating at the EURO NCAP crash test.
Notably, the model tested in Europe is different from the India-spec model. The hatchback secured four stars in the Japan NCAP scores.
Moreover, the 2nd generation model scored 5 stars in the Euro NCAP, followed by a 3 star rating for standard 3rd gen Swift.

The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift scored 67 percent in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 65 percent in Child Occupant Protection (COP), 76 percent of vulnerable road users (VRU), and 62 percent of safety assistants (SA).

The Euro-spec The Suzuki Swift is offered with side chest airbags, side pelvis airbags for front passengers, side head airbags for all passengers, and dual front airbags, even offering seatbelt load limits and pre-tensioners for each passenger, along with ADAS features like AEB (Auto Emergency Braking), Speed Assistance, Lane Assist System, and Driver Fatigue Detection.

The India-spec model offers safety features like six airbags (standard), a rear parking camera, and electronic stability program (ESP) and ISOFIX child seat anchorage.

Bharat NCAP Testing?

The fourth-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift could be the next car to go through Bharat NCAP crash testing, While there is no formal announcement.

The new 2024 Swift is available in five variants: Lxi, Vxi, Vxi (O), Zxi, and Zxi+. It is available with a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine (82 PS/112 Nm), mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.

The new 2024 Swift is priced at Rs 6.49 lakh to Rs 9.60 lakh (ex-showroom).
