Tata Motors is gearing up for launching the Sierra next year. Ahead of its launch, images of the production model have leaked online. Most of the styling bits seen with the concept version have been retained in the production model.
Tata Motors will launch the Sierra in EV and ICE derivatives. The production-ready version will likely be displayed at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo.
In December last year, patent images of the production-spec Tata Sierra were leaked on the internet, and the SUV was largely identical to the concept car showcased in the past.
2025 Tata Sierra EV: Design
The Sierra EV has a prominent closed-off grille section with connected LED DRLs, split headlamps, a chiseled bonnet with distinctive lines, a blacked-out front bumper with silver skid plate, a two-tone roof, flush-fitting door handles, and dual-tone alloy wheels.
The profile is similar to the original Sierra. The wraparound glass treatment has been retained. The wraparound glass effect is not actually all glass anymore, but rather a plastic panel.
At the rear, it features a prominent roof-mounted spoiler, sleek LED taillights, and dual-tone bumpers.
2025 Tata Sierra EV: Platform, battery, and range
The Sierra will be designed on Tata’s new Acti.ev platform, which also underpins the Punch.ev and Curvv.ev. The automaker had revealed that the EVs based on this architecture will be able to offer a range of up to 600km and support 11kW AC charging and DC fast charging of up to 150kW. The Acti.ev platform will also be compatible with all three drivetrain systems: FWD (front-wheel drive), RWD (rear-wheel drive), and AWD (all-wheel drive), along with Level 2 ADAS (advanced driver assistance system).
