This is the first time Volkswagen will bring the Golf GTI to our shores. Albeit only in the performance-oriented GTI spec and via CBU route.
Volkswagen Golf GTI will be launched in India next month, It will be brought to India through the completely built unit (CBU) route and will be limited to 155 units.
The excitement for the hot hatch has been building up among car enthusiasts.
Pre-bookings of the Golf GTI have already been started at select dealerships. Notably, this will be the most expensive hatchback to be sold in India by Volkswagen to date.

Volkswagen Golf GTI Powertrain
Volkswagen Golf GTI is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine which produces 261 hp of power and 370 Nm of peak torque. This power unit works in conjunction with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission which transfers power to the front wheels.
The Golf GTI has driving modes: Sport, Comfort and Eco, and is equipped with a front axle differential lock and progressive steering.

The top speed of the Golf GTI is limited to 250 kmph, the hot hatch is capable of going from 0-100 kmph in 5.9 seconds.
Volkswagen Golf GTI Color Options
The Golf GTI will be offered in four exterior paint schemes which includes:
Grenadilla Black Metallic,
Oryx White Premium,
Moonstone Grey
Kings Red Premium Metallic.
While the Grenadilla Black is a solid color, the other three are finished in dual-tone.
Volkswagen Golf GTI Features
On the feature front, the GTI is expected to be equipped with a large 12.9-inch touchscreen for infotainment and a 10.25-inch fully digital driver display. Features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and connected car tech are likely to ensure smooth connectivity. Additionally, it will offer tri-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and a heads-up display for driver’s convenience.

On the safety front, the Golf GTI will be equipped with 6 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), all-wheel disc brakes, and level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
