2026 MG Majestor Set To Be Revealed On February 12 In India

MG Motor India has finally provided a launch date for the Majestor SUV – February 12, 2026. The Majestor is essentially an evolution of the existing MG Gloster. While it shares the same robust platform and engine options as its predecessor, the Majestor distinguishes itself with a more premium design language and advanced technological features.

The Majestor SUV made its India debut at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo and has been spotted testing on Indian roads for quite some time. It is expected to be positioned above the Gloster and will compete with the Toyota Fortuner in the Indian market.

The Majestor is based on the same Maxus D90 platform, a body-on-frame architecture already in use across several global markets and is heavily inspired by the Maxus D90 SUV available in markets like China and Saudi Arabia.

With its launch date now confirmed, interest is growing around its expected pricing, engine options, features, and how it will compete with established full-size SUVs in India.

2026 MG Majestor Price

The Majestor SUV is expected to be priced at ₹40 lakh to ₹45 lakh (ex-showroom).

2026 MG Majestor Powertrain

The MG Majestor is ikely to powered by 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine from the Gloster, producing approximately 213–216 hp and 478–480 Nm of torque. It will be paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Expect the SUV to get the option for 4X2 and 4×4 drivetrains, depending on the variant.

2026 MG Majestor Competitors

Upon launch the Majestor will compete with the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq and the upcoming Volkswagen Tayron.
