2026 Tata Tiago EV Launched with Big Updates: Drops Price to ₹4.69 Lakh Under BaaS Scheme!

2026 Tata Tiago EV facelift has officially launched in India, starting at an introductory price of ₹6.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Additionally, Tata introduced a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) ownership model for the first time on the Tiago EV, reducing the initial upfront cost to ₹4.69 lakh plus a battery rental charge of ₹2.60 per kilometer.

Design

The new Tata Tiago EV gets several styling updates that make it look more modern and premium than before.

At the front, Tata has added sleek LED headlamps with eyebrow-style LED DRLs along with a redesigned, body-colored closed-off grille. The front bumpers have also been revised with sharp new faux air vents on the edges.

The side profile now gets fresh 15-inch alloy wheel designs along with contrasting black wheel arch cladding for a rugged look.

At the rear, the electric hatchback receives striking connected LED tail lamps and a revised bumper design. Other key highlights include a premium black dual-tone roof, a shark-fin antenna, and chrome-finished door handles.

Interior

Inside, the 2026 Tata Tiago EV gets a thoroughly updated dual-tone dashboard layout.

The cabin now features a larger 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system and a partially digital TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. Tata Motors says the electric hatchback now gets an upgraded electronic and electrical architecture with higher processing capability to support these advanced features.

The Tata Tiago EV feature list includes next-gen connected car technology with more than 40 smart functions, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, cruise control, and newly added rear AC vents.

The new Tiago EV cabin also gets a cooled glovebox, auto-folding ORVMs, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, redesigned door pads, and an updated center console featuring dual wireless charging pads.

Tata has also introduced premium new grey fabric upholstery and a front center armrest for a more comfortable and upscale driving experience.

The modern two-spoke steering wheel has been retained but now proudly carries the new illuminated ‘Tata.ev’ logo at the center.

Safety Features

Tata Tiago EV safety has seen a massive upgrade with the introduction of the new facelift model.

The popular electric hatchback now comes equipped with six airbags as standard across all variants, replacing the previous dual-airbag setup to offer superior cabin protection.

Other essential safety features include Electronic Stability Program (ESP), traction control, hill hold assist, a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), ABS with EBD, and cornering stability control (torque vectoring by braking).

The new Tiago EV also gets a segment-first 360-degree camera with a blind-view monitor, making it one of the most feature-rich and safest electric cars in its price segment.

Additional premium safety highlights include automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, and follow-me-home headlamps. Furthermore, Tata Motors has confirmed that the structural rigidity of the hatchback’s high-strength steel chassis has been improved to ensure better crash test protection.

Lifetime Battery Warranty for Top Variant

In a segment-first move, Tata Motors is offering an unprecedented lifetime unlimited kilometer warranty on the high-voltage battery pack for the larger 24 kWh Long Range (LR) version, exclusively for the first registered owner. This industry-first initiative significantly boosts buyer confidence regarding long-term EV battery life and degradation.

On the other hand, the smaller 19.2 kWh Medium Range (MR) version continues to come with the standard 8-year or 1.6 lakh km battery warranty, ensuring reliable protection for city commuters.
