Volkswagen Taigun facelift is officially scheduled to make its debut on April 9, 2026. . This marks the first major update for the SUV since its initial launch in 2021.
The company teased the model ahead of its unveiling, suggesting design updates and enhanced positioning within the mid-size SUV portfolio.
The company said the updated model carries forward its global design language, , with revised character lines and profile changes.
It added that the vehicle has been engineered locally for the Indian market.

Official prices will be announced on 9 April, with estimates ranging between ₹11.50 lakh and ₹21.00 lakh (ex-showroom).
What Can Be Seen In Teaser?
The latest teaser reveals the updated Taigun’s silhouette, highlighting a refreshed side profile and a modernized lighting setup. Both the front and rear now feature full-width LED light bars connecting redesigned headlamps and taillights, accented by illuminated Volkswagen logos. To complete the rugged look, the SUV sports updated bumpers with integrated faux skid plates.

However, it would come as a major surprise if the brand introduces features like a 360-degree camera and ADAS safety suite with this facelift. These additions were widely expected in the Kushaq facelift as well, but were not offered.

Upon launch, the Taigun facelift will continue to compete with established rivals such as the Tata Sierra, Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
