MG Astor Gets a Price Hike of up to Rs 27,000

JSW-MG Motor India has adjusted prices for the Astor compact SUV, increasing rates by up to ₹27,000 on select variants.

Reportedly, this update follows MG Motor India’s recent price adjustments on other models like the Hector and Hector Plus, which saw changes of up to up to Rs. 75,000.

Reportedly, the Savvy Pro Turbo 1.3 AT Sangria Red, Savvy Pro 1.5 CVT Sangria Red, and the Savvy Pro 1.5 CVT Ivory versions of the Astor are now costlier by Rs. 27,000, followed by the Sharp Pro 1.5 CVT Ivory, Sharp Pro 1.5 MT Ivory, and the Select 1.5 CVT Ivory versions, which get an upward revision of Rs. 26,000, Rs. 24,000, and Rs. 21,000.

The MG Astor is available in six variants: Sprint, Shine, Select, Smart, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro.

Further, customers can choose from six hues: Starry Black, Candy White, Glaze Red, Aurora Silver, Havana Grey, and Candy White with a Starry Black roof.

The MG Astor has proven to be a strong contender in the crowded compact SUV segment, competing effectively against rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota UC Hyryder, Honda Elevate, VW Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq.

The MG Astor is powered by either a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine or a 1.3-liter turbo-petrol motor. It offers multiple transmission choices, including a five-speed manual, CVT (continuously variable transmission), and a six-speed torque converter unit.
