Car buyers look forward to buying their new car as the country’s festive season begins. With October having come to an end, automakers have released their auto sales in October 2024.

Let’s take a look at how the big players in the automotive industry have fared in terms of sales figures.

Maruti Suzuki

Maruti Suzuki reported cumulative sales of 2,06,434 units; the domestic market accounted for 1,59,591 units. As for cumulative export figures, the automaker shipped 33,168 units last month.

Hyundai Motors

Hyundai Motors sold 55,568 units in India last month; Hyundai’s exports, however, the export units stood at 14,510 in total. Reporting cumulative sales of 70,078 units in October 2024.

Tata Motors

Tata Motors sold a total of 48,131 passenger vehicles in the domestic market. while exports accounted for 292 units. Moreover, the company’s EV sales, which include domestic and exports, sold 5,355 units.

Mahindra & Mahindra

The homegrown carmaker dispatched 54,504 utility vehicles in the domestic market. Furthermore, the company registered total sales of 96,648 units, including exports and commercial vehicles.

Honda Cars

Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) registered total sales of 10,080 units in October 2024. Domestic sales of the company stood at 5,546 units and exports at 4,534 units in the month of October 2024.

JSW MG Motor

MG Motors sold 7,045 units in October 2024. New energy vehicles (NEVs) remain a significant part of its overall sales, contributing over 70% to the total volume in October, JSW MG Motor India said in a statement. The newly introduced electric crossover utility vehicle Windsor clocked 3,116 units within the first month of its launch.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor

Toyota continues to post strong growth month after month, having sold 30,845 units. Domestic sales stood at 28,138 units, with exports amounting to 2,707 units.
