Mercedes-Benz has launched the all-new AMG C 63 S E Performance in India at Rs 1.95 crore (ex-showroom).
The manufacturer has started accepting orders for the new car, and deliveries are known to commence from April 2025.
Notably, this is Mercedes’s final AMG launch for this CY and their 14th launch of the year.
Mercedes AMG C 63 S E Performance: Exterior
The C 63 S E Performance has key visual deviations from the standard C Class. It features a massive bonnet, complemented by a blacked-out Panamericana grill at the front. It also gets red-color accent piping installed at the bottom, covering each corner. With redesigned bumpers, the C 63 is 50mm longer than the C-Class.
The C63 comes standard with 19-inch alloy wheels, with 20-inch units available as an option.
At the rear, the car features a black diffuser, dual trapezoidal exhaust tips on each side, and a black spoiler on the boot lid.
Mercedes AMG C 63 S E Performance: Dimensions
The sports sedan measures 1,900mm wide, 4,841mm long, and 1,458mm tall. The wheelbase sits at 2,875mm, up by 10mm.
Mercedes AMG C 63 S E Performance: Interior
Inside, the layout of the C63 SE Performance’s cabin is similar to the standard C-Class. A 12.3-inch vertical central touchscreen and a Burmester 3D surround sound system are available. Furthermore, it has AMG interiors with sports seats, an AMG steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof.
Drivers can also select from three different damping settings: Comfort, Sport, and Sport+.
Mercedes-Benz also offers a Track Pace data logger, which is used if you’re planning to take your C63 to the racetrack.
Mercedes AMG C 63 S E Performance: Powertrain
The new AMG C 63 S E Performance is powered by its iconic 4-litre V8 and a Formula-1-derived 2-litre 4-cylinder twin-turbo petrol engine that delivers 475 PS, setting a record as the world’s most powerful 4-cylinder production car. Paired with a two-speed electric motor on the rear axle, this plug-in hybrid setup generates a staggering 680 PS and 1,020 Nm.
The electric motor is powered by a 6.1 kWh battery pack that offers an electric-only range of up to 13 km on a full charge.
Furthermore, the engine can be dynamically tuned in eight drive modes: Electric, Comfort, Battery Hold, Sport, Sport+, Race, Slippery, and Individual. For the first time, the AMG C 63 gets a fully variable 4MATIC+ with Drift mode.
Mercedes says that the 0-100 km/h sprint is dealt with in just 3.4 seconds, while it can achieve top speeds of up to 250 km/h. Customers can, however, opt to increase the top speed to 280 km/h by paying extra for the AMG Driver’s Package.
