Mercedes-Benz India has announced that it will raise the prices of its entire model range by up to 3% starting January 1, 2025.
It has been revealed by the brand that the hot-selling model GLC will feature a new price tag, which will be hiked Rs 2 lakh. The Maybach S 680 will also become expensive by Rs 9 lakh.
Mercedes-Benz India revealed that its business operations have been under significant strain due to escalating material costs, fluctuating commodity prices, and increased logistics expenses.
“Over the past three quarters, we have been facing increased pressure on our cost structure primarily driven by escalating material costs, fluctuating commodity prices, increased logistics expenses, and inflationary cost,” said Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO of Mercedes-Benz India.
The company noted it has been absorbing these rising costs for the past three quarters but now needs to adjust prices to maintain business sustainability.
This price correction will apply to those vehicles currently not in stock, offering price protection for all existing and future bookings until December 31, 2024, Iyer said.
“Flexible financing options from Mercedes-Benz Financial Services will ensure optimal total cost of ownership for our customers,” he added.
Mercedes-Benz currently offers vehicles in India ranging from ₹45 lakh for the A-Class to ₹3.6 crore for the G63 SUV.
