India’s luxury car market experienced remarkable growth in 2024, despite broader challenges in the automotive sector. Luxury car sales in India could cross the milestone of 50,000 units for the first time in a year in 2024 amid growing demand for such models.

FADA has released the vehicle registration data for luxury cars for October 2024.
Mercedes-Benz trumps the luxury carmaker’s sales; the second spot is taken by BMW, followed by JLR.
Luxury carmaker sales for October 2024:
- Mercedes-Benz: 1,792 units, up from 1,374 units in October 2023.
- BMW: 1,475 units, up from 1,165 units in October 2023.
- Jaguar Land Rover: 484 units, up from 442 units in October 2023.
- Volvo: 160 units, down from 186 units in October 2023.
- Audi: 24 units (CBU), down from 59 units in October 2023.
