Skoda has made its debut in the highly competitive and crowded sub-four-metre SUV segment. The automaker has opened the bookings for the Kylaq, Skoda’s first sub-4 meter compact SUV, on December 2. Notably, the Skoda Kylaq is the Czech carmaker’s most affordable SUV in India.

Skoda Kylaq : Bookings

Skoda Auto has opened bookings for the Kylaq sub-compact SUV today, both online and at Skoda dealerships, with deliveries commencing from January 27, 2024.

Early buyers will receive an added benefit, as the first 33,333 customers are eligible for a complimentary 3-year standard maintenance package.

Skoda Kylaq : Engine Specs

The Kylaq is available with a single engine option, the 1-litre TSI with an output of 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque. It is mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic torque converter transmission. According to Skoda, the Kylaq does zero to 100 km/h in 10.5 seconds with the manual transmission and has a top speed of 188 km/h.

Skoda Kylaq : Color options

The color palette of the Skoda Kylaq is extensive; customers can choose from Olive Gold, Lava Blue, Deep Black, Tornado Red, Candy White, Carbon Steel, and Brilliant Silver.

Additionally, lower variants can upgrade to select colors, including Deep Black and Lava Blue, for a premium of Rs. 9,000.

Skoda Kylaq : Safety

The Skoda Kylaq comes equipped with several advanced safety features, such as 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, ISOFIX, three-point seat belts, and headrests for all occupants. Notably, the Skoda Kylaq is based on the MQB A0-IN platform. It also underpins the Slavia and Kushaq models, which have already received a 5-star rating from Global NCAP.
