Isuzu Motors India achieves 100K production milestone in 8 years
Isuzu MotorIndia announced their milestone achievement of rolling out one lakh vehicles from its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The one lakh vehicle milestone achievement was marked with the rollout of the popular Isuzu D-MAX V-Cross model.
The company, a subsidiary of the Japanese automotive manufacturer Isuzu Motor, has established itself as a key player in the Indian commercial vehicle and SUV market.
Isuzu Motor India began operations in 2016 with the establishment of its Sri City plant. In 2020, the company entered Phase 2 of its operations, inaugurating a press shop and engine assembly plant to facilitate production processes. Since then, the facility has manufactured over 1.4 million pressed parts.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Toru Kishimoto, Deputy Managing Director of Isuzu Motors India, said, “Achieving this milestone is a testament to the trust our customers place in delivering vehicles of reliable and versatile products of the highest quality that are made for India. In addition to ramping up production, Isuzu Motors India has significantly expanded its reach across the country this year. Going forward, the company is looking to increase its touch points for taking the brand much closer to its customers for a seamless ownership experience.
