Maruti Suzuki e Vitara spied ahead of India debut

Maruti Suzuki’s first all-electric vehicle, the e-Vitara is slated for a 2025 launch in India, ahead of its India debut, the e Vitara has been spotted doing final test runs on the Indian roads.
Let’s take a brief look at what could be seen from the test mule spotted:


The variant spied is covered with a dark-colored film. The design include a closed-off grille with Y-shaped LED DRLs, flush-type door handles, and connected tail lights. While, the side profile has polygonal wheel arches and ORVMs with integrated turn signals. The front doors have conventional handles, whereas the rear handles are mounted on the C-pillar.
The e Vitara is based on the Maruti Suzuki eVX concept, first showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. It was then showcased at the Japan Mobility Show in October 2023.
Although Maruti’s parent company, Suzuki, unveiled the e Vitara in Italy in November 2024, the electric SUV is still undergoing tests on Indian roads.
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will be manufactured in India and will be sold domestically and exported to international markets. It will first go on sale in Europe and Japan before an India launch in summer 2025. Moreover, the eVX will be produced worldwide from Maruti Suzuki’s Gujarat plant.
The design will include a closed-off grille with Y-shaped LED DRLs, flush-type door handles, and connected tail lights. Maruti Suzuki e Vitara : Battery Pack And Electric Motor
The global-spec Suzuki e Vitara gets two battery pack options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The specifications are as follows:

Additionally, the e Vitara is the first vehicle to be underpinned by Suzuki’s new Heartect-e platform, which will be the basis for future electric models like the Baleno, Jimny, Ertiga, and Swift.
