JLR India has introduced the model year update for its iconic Defender in India. The 2025 Defender has been priced from Rs 1.39 crore (ex-showroom).

The 2025 Land Rover Defender takes capability and luxury to new height with advanced features and premium upgrades. In the latest iteration, the Defender 130 has received a new seating layout while the brand has also added a new 5.0-litre V8 engine to more trims of the vehicle. It is available in all three body styles – 90, 110 and 130.

The V8 engine is offered in two trims- X-Dynamic HSE and X. There are options for 5.0-litre V8 engine, 2.0-litre petrol engine and 3.0-litre diesel engine. Customers can opt for any one of the above mentioned options according to their requirements. The 5.0-litre V8 engine produces maximum power of 426hp and 610Nm of peak torque. The 3.0-litre diesel engine offered in X-Dynamic HSE, X and Sedona Edition trims. It is available across all three body styles. Speaking about a 2.0-litre petrol engine, it is offered in 110 body style in X-Dynamic HSE trim.

2025 Land Rover Defender V8: Features and Configurations

The 2025 Defender comes with Windsor leather upholstery in the Ebony theme, and the front seats are 14-way electronically adjustable with ventilation and heating functions. Other cabin highlights include an 11.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an all-digital driver’s display, and a panoramic sunroof.

Optional upgrades include a Meridian sound system, a refrigerated front console compartment, and a soft-close tailgate. Bundled packages, such as the Cold Climate, Advanced Off-Road, and Family Comfort Packs, add further customization options.

Land Rover also offers four driving and ADAS packs for the Defender 2025:

OffRoad Pack – Electronic Active Differential, black roof rails, all-terrain tyres, domestic plug socket, Wade Sensing.

Advanced OffRoad Pack – AllTerrain Progress Control, Terrain Response 2, Configurable Terrain Response, Electronic Air Suspension, Adaptive Dynamics and Automatic Headlight Levelling.

Dynamic Handling Pack – Electronic Active Differential, Electronic Air Suspension, Adaptive Dynamics and Automatic Headlight Levelling, 20-inch full-size spare wheel.

Air Suspension Pack – Electronic Air Suspension, Adaptive Dynamics, Automatic Headlight Levelling.
