Land Rover Defender Octa unveiled price starts at 2.65 crores

Land Rover has globally unveiled its much-anticipated new ‘Octa’ variant of its Defender SUV. The new Land Rover Defender Octa is a performance-oriented SUV. Additionally, the model’s most powerful variant to date.
The Land Rover Defender Octa will make its world premiere at the Goodwood Festival of Speed that will be held between 11th to 14th July, 2024.
Despite being based on the Land Rover Defender 110, the new ‘Octa’ variant is the most powerful.
Defender ever with a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with mild-hybrid tech.
Powertrain
The Defender Octa features a powerful 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged mild-hybrid V8 engine, making it the most potent defender ever. This engine, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission with high and low-range gears, delivers 626 bhp and 750 Nm of torque.
The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just four seconds.
Exterior
It also boasts enhanced dimensions, more off-road-focused exterior elements, and the dimensions of the Defender Octa sits 28 mm higher and is 68 mm wider than the standard model, providing better ground clearance and stability.
The grille has been revised for better airflow, and you get a sporty quad-exit exhaust setup. The bumpers have also been designed to improve the approach and departure angles, while the break-over angle has remained the same.
It also includes upgraded 400-mm front brake discs with Brembo calipers and the fastest steering ratio of any Defender to date.
The Octa comes with 22-inch alloys with all-season tires and retractable side steps. It is equipped with specially developed 33-inch Goodyear Advance all-terrain tires positioned under extended wheel arches.
Color options include Petra Copper, Faroe Green, Carpathian Grey, and Charente Grey will also be introduced on the Octa.
Interior
On the inside, the Defender Octa gets the same dashboard layout as its regular version but gets different interior themes.
It gets new performance seats with a 3D-knit texture and integrated headrest seats with enhanced bolstering to keep you firmly in place while off-roading.
The Octa features a top-rung 11.4-inch infotainment screen, a center-console fridge, and Burnt Sienna semi-aniline leather as standard
