Maruti Suzuki Eeco turns 15; over 12 lakh units sold

Maruti Suzuki is celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Eeco. Since its launch in 2010, the carmaker has sold over 1.2 million units of the Eeco.

Launched in 2010, the Eeco continue to see demand in the Indian marketplace, both among large families and business operators. It has consistently been a strong seller for Maruti, averaging 11,391 units per month in the last calendar year.

Maruti Suzuki Eeco : Variants and Engine

The Maruti Suzuki Eeco has 13 different variants on offer, including 5-seater, 7-seater, Cargo, Tour, and Ambulance configurations, the Eeco stands out as a leading multi-purpose van.

It is equipped with the 1.2L Advanced K-Series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine, accounting for 57% of its sales. Maruti Suzuki also offers Eeco with its S-CNG technology which contributes to 43% of its overall sales, reflecting the increasing preference for eco-friendly fuel options.

On the safety front, the Eeco is equipped with a driver airbag, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, seatbelt reminders for both the driver and co-driver, and a high-speed alert system.

In FY2024, the Maruti Eeco sold a total of 137,139 units, up 4.50% YoY. In the first nine months of FY2025, the van has sold 102,520 units, up 1.55% YoY (April-December 2023: 100,954 units).
