BMW iX1 LWB launched at Rs 49 lakh
BMW India has launched the all-electric iX1 LWB at Rs 49 lakh, ex-showroom, India, for an introductory period.
The BMW iX1 was first introduced in India in 2023 and now, its long-wheelbase (LWB) version has landed on our shores at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025.
The iX1 LWB has a 112mm longer wheelbase than the standard model (2,692mm). Moreover, India is the first right-hand-drive market to get the long-wheelbase iX1. This launch also marks the introduction of BMW India’s first locally made EV.

BMW iX1 : Design and Interior

The iX1 features a large BMW kidney grille with distinct ‘I’ identification. It offers sleek adaptive LED headlights with chrome highlights on the grille. The car features a long roof line with Aluminium Satinated roof rails, square wheel arch contours, and 18-inch M light alloy wheels that enhance the overall look. The rear design is minimalistic, adding to its clean and modern aesthetic.
On the inside, the ix1 is equipped with features such as a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system running BMW’s iDrive 8.5 operating system, a 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, 2-zone automatic climate control, Active Seats, a sunroof, wireless charging and ambient lighting. The cabin is equipped with sport seats, a panoramic glass roof, and dual-zone automatic climate control with rear-seat air vents.

On the safety front, The ix1 offers Parking Assistant via Active Park Distance Control sensors at the front and rear, and Rear View Camera. Apart from that, it comes with ADAS technology, 8 airbags, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist, an electronic vehicle immobilizer and crash sensors among others.
