The Maruti e Vitara was recently showcased in the production-ready avatar at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. It will be the brand’s first electric vehicle, based on the eVX concept.
Scheduled for a March 2025 release, it will be priced between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 30 lakh.
Maruti e Vitara Variants
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will be offered in three variants, namely, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha.
Maruti e Vitara Battery Pack and Range
The e-VITARA offers two battery options, each paired with distinct powertrain configurations. The 49kWh battery powers a front axle-mounted motor delivering 144hp and 189Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 61kWh battery is equipped with a front electric motor generating 174hp and 189Nm of torque.
Moreover, the e Vitara’s electric powertrain features a 3-in-1 system that integrates the motor, inverter, and transmission.
Maruti aims for an MIDC range exceeding 500km for the e Vitara, which should be achievable given its weight of between 1,702kg and 1,899kg depending on the variant.
Additionally, all versions will come equipped with 2WD as standard.
Maruti e Vitara Features
The e Vitara features a 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display, a 10.1-inch touchscreen, 10-way powered driver’s seat, fixed glass roof, and 7 airbags as standard and a panoramic sunroof.
Other features include wireless phone charging, drive modes, automatic climate control, adjustable headrests, and connectivity like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Notably, the e Vitara is Maruti’s first car to offer ADAS tech with features like adaptive cruise control, lane assist, autonomous emergency braking, auto high-beam and others.
Maruti e Vitara Dimensions
In terms of dimensions, the e Vitara measures 4,275mm in length with a wheelbase of 2,700mm, 1,640mm in height and 1,800mm in width.
Maruti e Vitara Price and Competitors
The e-Vitara is expected to be priced at around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with upcoming models like the Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvv EV, and MG ZS EV.
