Mahindra Scorpio N pickup truck spotted testing in Manali, Himachal Pradesh

Mahindra’s Scorpio-N-based pickup truck has been spotted again in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. The Global Pik Up is based on the Scorpio-N, which is quite evident from the spy images. The test vehicle looks much larger than the Scorpio Getaway.

Mahindra had unveiled the Global Pik Up concept based on the same platform underpinning South Africa in South Africa in 2023.
The test mule of the Scorpio N pickup truck has been spotted in a single-cab layout. This hints that the vehicle could be a commercial unit. Lifestyle pickups in India, such as the Toyota Hilux and the Isuzu D-Max, feature a double-cab layout and a smaller truck bed
The spied pickup truck seems to feature design elements reminiscent of the Scorpio-N, such as the headlights, LED DRLs, and alloy wheels. Moreover, The high ground clearance seen with the concept appears largely the same with the test mule. It will allow Scorpio N pickup to easily tackle a wide variety of challenging terrain. It will be aided by pre-programmed and customizable ride modes.
It will be built on a new body-on-frame chassis and under the bonnet, the pickup truck will most likely be powered by a 2.2-litre turbo dieselmHawk engine which is available in two states of tune – 130bhp and 172bhp – and we can expect the latter, with a four-wheel-drive system to keep it relevant in terms of competition. Transmission duties will be carried out either by a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
The new Mahindra Scorpio pickup truck will be a global model and is expected to be sold in markets such as Australia and certain African countries before coming to India. With the growing global demand for lifestyle-oriented and utility pickup trucks, Mahindra’s move to expand the Scorpio N lineup could strengthen its presence in the segment.
