BYD achieves 1000 bookings for Sealion 7 Pure Performance eSUV starting from ₹48.9 lakh

BYD India has achieved a milestone with its newest offering, the Sealion 7, surpassing 1,000 reservations for the e-SUV.

The Sealion 7 was first revealed at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo and the brand started accepting bookings on the same day. The deliveries of the SUV will begin from 7 March 2025.

The booking amount is set at Rs 70,000 and BYD is offering a 7-year/1.5 lakh km warranty, a free 7 kW home charger for the first 70 buyers, and will match the ₹70,000 booking amount.

The Sealion 7 marks BYD India’s fifth all-new vehicle offering, strengthening the brand’s foothold in the rapidly growing electric vehicle (EV) sector.

Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles (EPV) Business at BYD India, expressed his optimism: “The unveiling of the Sealion 7 at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 has been a pivotal moment for BYD India. The overwhelming response with over 1000 bookings in the first month, coupled with our expanding dealership network of 40 locations across India, underscores our commitment to driving innovative and sustainable mobility solutions.”

The Sealion 7 is offered in Premium and Performance variants, both equipped with an 82.56 kWh battery pack. The Performance variant generates 390 kW of power and 690 Nm of torque. The Premium variant delivers 230 kW of power and 380 Nm of torque.

BYD Sealion 7 Price

The Sealion 7 is priced between Rs 48.90 lakh and Rs 54.90 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India).

BYD Sealion 7 Battery Pack and Range

The BYD Sealion 7 is offered with an 82.5 kWh battery pack with two drivetrain options, the detailed specifications of which are as follows:

The Premium variant comes with an electric motor on the rear axle and has a combined output of 313 PS and 380 Nm. It has a claimed NEDC range of 567 km.
The all-wheel drive Performance variant has an output of 530 PS and 690Nm with a claimed NEDC range of 542 km.
