According to SIAM, the software glitch could deactivate the fuel injection system in the petrol engine when the ‘sailing mode’ is switched off. This could lead to the car losing propulsion without any warning.
In a separate recall, 96 units (combined) of the S-Class, GLC, AMG GT, G-Class and AMG E-Class were recalled, due to a separate issue involving the fuel delivery module. As per the company, the module may not meet required standards, which can cause fuel delivery problems.
  • GLC SUV – Since October 7, 2022
  • C-Class – August 31, 2021 to October 31, 2021
  • S-Class – July 20, 2022, to September 29, 2023
