Kia Carens Achieves 2,00,000 Unit Sales Milestone since launch, Facelift Launch This Year

Kia has achieved a milestone in India by crossing 2 lakh unit sales of Carens since its launch in February 2022.

The Kia Carens has emerged as one of the fastest-selling vehicles in its segment, catering to Indian families with its premium features, spacious design, and advanced technology.

The Kia Carens is priced between ₹10.6 lakh to ₹19.7 lakh (ex-showroom, India), available in both petrol and diesel engine options, catering to a wide range of customer preferences.

The demand for top trims remains strong, contributing to 24% of sales, with features like a sunroof, ventilated seats, and Kia Connect enhancing its appeal. Powertrain preferences lean towards petrol (58%), while diesel accounts for 42%. Notably, 32% of buyers chose automatic and iMT variants, emphasizing the demand for convenience. The 7-seater model dominates, making up 95% of total sales.

Kia India has shipped a total of 23,273 Carens to overseas markets with FY2024’s 8,489 units being the best fiscal. In the current fiscal, 6,698 units have been exported.

Moreover, The automaker has exported over 24,000 units of the MPV across 70 regions.

Kia Carens Variants

The Kia Carens is offered in five broad variants: Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury Plus and X-Line.

Kia Carens Powertrain

The Kia Carens is available in three powertrain choices which are as follows:

A 1.5-litre naturally aspirated (NA) engine that generates 115 PS and 144 Nm and is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission (MT).
A 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with an output of 160 PS and 253 Nm paired with 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT.
A 1.5-litre diesel engine generating 116 PS and 250 Nm. The transmission for this engine includes a 6-speed MT and 6-speed automatic torque converter (AT).

Kia Carens Features

On the feature front, the Kia Carens offers a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, climate control, multi-function steering, and a digital driver display. It also gets a range of convenience features such as front-seat ventilation, eight-speaker Bose sound system, 64-colours ambient lighting, wireless charger, and electronically foldable middle-row seats for easier third-row access.

Kia Carens Color Options

Kia offers the Carens in eight monotone color options: Imperial Blue, Xclusive Matte Graphite, Sparkling Silver, Intense Red, Glacier White Pearl, Clear White, Gravity Grey, and Aurora Black Pearl.
