The Mercedes-Benz CLA new-generation has made its global debut. The new CLA is based on the Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture (MMA) and marks the beginning of a new generation of entry-level luxury models from the German automaker.

Showcased as a concept avatar in 2023, the Mercedes-Benz has finally revealed its entry-level sedan Mercedes-Benz CLA globally.

The second-gen Mercedes Benz CLA will be offered globally in both battery-electric and mild hybrid forms and it will share the common nameplate.

Second-gen Mercedes-Benz CLA Revealed with Hybrid and Electric Powertrain Options

The new-gen Mercedes-Benz CLA 2025 features star-studded LED DRLs in the main clusters and a similar styling for the taillights with illuminated star-patterned grille, and panoramic roof.

Overall, the 2nd Gen Mercedes Benz CLA retains the outgoing car’s sloped-roof, four-door coupe shape but looks bigger and more substantial. Moreover, frameless doors and flush-mounted retractable handles contribute to the car’s minimalist, aerodynamic appeal.

At the rear, it hets connected LED tail lights with animated patterns. LED tail lights signature is that of a Mercedes logo. Additionally, there’s also a diffuser finished in gloss Black.

Inside, the cabin emphasizes minimalism and high-tech luxury with a floating MBUX Superscreen and premium materials. The CLA debuts Mercedes-Benz Operating System, a new software package claimed to control everything from the multimedia screen to the car’s driver-assistance technology and drivetrain.

Mercedes-Benz CLA EV

The Mercedes-Benz CLA EV will be offered in two models: The rear-wheel-drive CLA 250+ with EQ Technology and the all-wheel-drive CLA 350 4Matic with EQ Technology.

The CLA 250+ boasts an impressive claimed range of 792km, surpassing even the flagship EQS sedan’s 770km range.
The CLA 350 4Matic comes with dual-motor setup, which delivers 354hp and a range of 771km, completing the 0-100 kph sprint in just 4.9 seconds.

Mercedes-Benz CLA Hybrid

The New 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLA Hybrid features a new turbocharged 1.5-liter Miller-cycle four-cylinder engine that sits transversely up front, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission that also houses a 27-hp electric motor and an inverter. A 1.3-kWh 48-volt battery feeds the electric motor, which can power the car on its own in city driving. Both front- and all-wheel-drive variants will be offered.
