Mercedes-Benz India has discontinued the GLB in the country, Launched in December 2022 alongside the EQB electric SUV (which remains on sale), the GLB was part of the brand’s entry-level SUV lineup in India.
The GLB was brought to India as a fully-imported CBU from its plant in Mexico. Apparently Mercedes has sold every unit of the GLB allocated for the Indian market.
Notaly, The GLB was Mercedes’ most affordable 7-seater model. It was available in three variants: GLB 200 Progressive, 220d 4Matic and 220d AMG Line 4Matic.
The Mercedes EQB electric entry-level 7-seater, continues to be on sale. It is priced from Rs. 72.2 Lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs. 78.9 Lakh (ex-showroom).
Mercedes-Benz has confirmed a new GLB for India, However, it remains uncertain whether this refers to the mid-life facelift or the all-new second-generation GLB, which is currently under development.
Several Spied images of the second-gen GLB on test have been shared online, with a reveal expected in 2026. It is based on the same MMA platform as the India-bound third-gen CLA, which is expected to launch here in coming months.
