Kia Clavis Teased ahead of launch on May 8, to offer panoramic sunroof, ADAS

  • The Kia Clavis sports a distinctive new design that aligns with the brand’s latest styling seen on models like the Seltos and EV6.

Kia has officially teased the Clavis, its new compact SUV set to debut on May 8. The Clavis will be a more premium MPV in the automaker’s lineup and will be sold alongside the Carens in the country.  

The Kia Clavis has been indigenously designed grounds up with inspiration from unrealized needs of Indian customers. It has a unique, progressive SUV design language that doesn’t follow the conventional SUV design.  

Moreover, the SUV segment in India remains highly competitive, and Kia appears to be sharpening its edge with a feature-rich offering in the Clavis. 

The upcoming Kia Clavis MPV has been spotted multiple times in the past, it will be on sale along with the existing Kia Carens. It boasts heavy design revisions and is expected to pack plentiful new features.

ADAS Level 2

The new Clavis is going to be equipped with the Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).The suite is expected to offer cutting-edge features such as autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and more.

Panoramic sunroof

The first teaser flaunts the dual-pane panoramic sunroof of the upcoming Clavis.

2025 Kia Clavis Engine Options

The Kia Clavis will likely offer the same engine options as the existing Carens. Engine choices are expected to include: 

  • A 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine with a manual gearbox 
  • A 1.5L turbo petrol engine available with iMT and DCT automatic gearboxes 
  • A 1.5L diesel engine with both manual and automatic transmission options
