German automotive giant BMW-owned British brand Mini has introduced the 2024 Cooper S hatchback and the Countryman Electric to the Indian market.

The fourth-generation Mini Cooper S succeeds its predecessor, while the Countryman E marks Mini’s debut of an all-electric vehicle in the country.

Mini Cooper S petrol version is priced at Rs 44.90 lakh, while Countryman electric costs Rs 54.90 lakh.

Vikram Pawah, President and CEO of BMW Group India, in a company statement, said, “The new MINI family, with a purist design, an immersive user experience, a responsible attitude and charismatic simplicity, takes the driving fun into a new era. MINI’s constant development and its ability to regularly set new trends have established a strong fanbase in India.”

The 2024 Cooper S is the fourth-generation model and the last with a combustion engine. The Deliveries of the Cooper S are set to begin in September, along with the Countryman Electric.

MINI Cooper S : Exterior

The fourth-generation Mini Cooper S retains its classic design with a bolder design with a longer wheelbase and larger wheels while keeping its short overhangs and compact hood.

The new Cooper S 3-Door gets new round headlamps, a redesigned octagonal grille and a redesigned tailgate replete with new triangular brake lights.

It comes with two doors on either side and 17-inch alloy wheels, which can be upgraded to 18-inch units. At the rear, the car sports redesigned triangular LED taillights with sequential indicators.

On the inside a the 2024 Cooper S features a new 9.4-inch round OLED touchscreen which runs on Mini’s latest Android-based operating system developed with Samsung.Moreover, the Cooper S adopts a clean design with no instrument cluster and integrates AC vents into the dashboard.

Additionally, There’s a panoramic sunroof and the 60:40 split rear seat can be folded down to expand the standard 210 litre boot volume to 725 litres.

The new Mini Countryman’s exterior design is an evolution of the previous generations. The Mini Countryman Electric shares its platform with the iX1 and features an octagonal grille with updated LED headlamps and new DRLs. The company claims that the new electric model offers an extra 130mm legroom in the second-row. The overall styling and interior bits are shared with the Cooper S.
