• Mahindra has received an overwhelming response for the Thar Roxx, resulting in timelines stretching to 2026. The carmaker plans to reduce the waiting period for the five-door SUV with an increase in production that is set to take place soon. 

The Thar nameplate has always been one of the most in-demand models by the automaker in the country. Similar waiting period scenarios were present for the three-door Thar too up until the release of the Thar Roxx.

The waiting period for the Mahindra Thar Roxx now stretches to 2026. According to the carmaker, customers who book the Thar Roxx can expect deliveries in the next 9 to 15 months, depending on the variant. Mahindra has a huge order backlog for the Thar Roxx.

Increased Production:

Mahindra is boosting production of the Thar Roxx due to high demand.

Prioritization:

The production increase is focused on prioritizing the Thar Roxx, with a 70% production split in favor of it.

Mahindra Thar Roxx Waiting Period

Mahindra Thar Roxx currently has a waiting period of up to 18 months for the base-spec MX1 variant and the top-spec AX7L 4×4 trim. Mid-spec trims like MX3, AX3L, MX5, and AX5L have waiting periods of up to 6 months. The AX7L 4×2 trim has a waiting period of up to 10 months.

Variant-Wise Waiting Period:

• Thar Roxx MX1: Waiting period of up to 18 months (1.5 years).  
• Thar Roxx AX7L 4×4: Waiting period of up to 18 months (1.5 years).  
• Thar Roxx AX7L 4×2: Waiting period of up to 10 months.  
• Thar Roxx MX3, AX3L, MX5, and AX5L: Waiting period of up to 6 months
