5 SUVs Generating Most Buzz on Google Trends in May
While the automotive sector in India is on the rise, the citizens’ favorite is still the sport utility vehicle (SUV) across all formalities. Recently launched SUVs, limited edition models and government support for these vehicles made five SUVs the top internet search choices in May 2025.

Want to take a hike? The release of the Apex Summer Edition made Honda’s Elevate the top search this month. The Honda Amaze can be bought for either ₹12.39 lakh (manual) or ₹13.59 lakh (CVT) and is available with offers valued up to ₹76,000. Due to its limited release and great discounts, more people are now paying attention to this model in the mid-size SUV category

Tata’s switch to EVs noticed

Tata Curvv

Before getting any price details, the Tata Curvv was crowned as the second-most in-trend new car. After various units of the EV Dark Edition in petrol, diesel and electric versions arrived at Rashtrapati Bhavan, the EV model received a lot of attention. Tata revealed that you can find all Tata.ev models on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM). Developers are said to be working on a CNG version of the Curvv.

Kia Clavis highlights new vehicles

Kia Carens Clavis
People are already paying attention to Kia’s new Carens Clavis even before it launches on May 23. Usually, the first bookings are done in March for a price of ₹25,000. People are taking notice of the high-riding stance and assumed price, despite the fact that the specifications have not been revealed.

Tata Punch still attracts many customers

Tata Punch
A sub-compact SUV, the Tata Punch, is maintaining its top position in sales and online searches. Many are eager for this vehicle since, at 15,000 units per month, it is one of the top-selling passenger cars. Being available as a petrol, CNG or EV, the Punch has wide popularity due to its affordability in cities

Jeep Compass still tops global searches

Jeep Compass
India is not included in the release of the second-generation Compass, but that did not stop people in the country from searching for the car. Stellantis aims to release the model outside the U.S. with hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric motors. Many people who love Jeep are disappointed that India will not see these new models.

Market Trends

According to analysts, more people exploring electric cars, purchases made by governments and special editions are the top reasons for the increased traffic. Consumers are still drawn to Punch and Curvv for their flexible engines and good prices.
Now that more car models will be released over the next few months, automakers are well-placed to sustain their online presence to influence buyers.
