MG Windsor Exclusive Pro, Bigger Battery and Less Price

The new MG Windsor Exclusive Pro has just been introduced by JSW MG Motor India at a price of ₹17.24 lakh (ex-showroom). People can also buy the variant under Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) for ₹12.24 lakh with extra ₹4.5 charged per kilometer.

Between the Windsor Exclusive and Essence Pro models, the new Exclusive Pro is intended to grow MG’s electric vehicle lineup as India’s EV market changes. In their words, the company had over 8,000 people reserve the variant in the first day. Vehicles will begin to be delivered in the first week of June 2025.

Choosing Prices and Spot in the Market

Buying a Windsor Exclusive Pro will cost you around ₹85,000 less than an Essence Pro and a total of ₹2.20 lakh compared to the regular Exclusive (38kWh) model. It has a 52.9kWh battery pack and lies midway to the top of the Windsor EV range.

Technical Specifications

With a 52.9kWh battery, the Windsor Exclusive Pro can travel on a single charge up to 449 km, according to ARAI regulations. All power comes from a brushless DC front-mounted motor that produces 136 bhp and 200 Nm of torque.

Though it has the same battery size as the Essence Pro, the Exclusive Pro doesn’t have all the top features to keep its price down.

The Equipment

There are many attractive features on the Exclusive Pro such as:

A 15.6-inch display system connected to touch controls
An advanced 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster
360-degree camera all around the vehicle
V2V and V2L charging are included with this model
Leatherette upholstery and 18-inch alloy wheels on these cars

Still, some things are not part of it:

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems
Front seats that cool the driver
Sunroof
PM2.5 air purifier

You can get this variant in Turquoise Green, Pearl White or Starry Black.

Market Outlook

MG Motor India aims to fill the segment between basic and advanced EVs in the Windsor family with this launch. The many bookings show that more people want mid-segment electric vehicles that can travel far and offer flexible ownership.

Many urban users are drawn to MG’s BaaS because it offers low upfront spending. Under the model, customers reduce the basic price and rent the car’s battery use each time they drive it.

And for Booking and Delivery?

The Windsor Exclusive Pro can currently be pre-booked at any MG showroom for a token fee of ₹11,000. The company stated that the first group of electric vehicles will start arriving in June of 2025.
