Skoda introduced the 2025 iteration of the Skoda Kodiaq in India last month. Kodiaq’s maintenance cost is generally considered to be higher than that of other cars in the same segment. However, Skoda has improved its after-sales service.

The Czech automaker has been working around to decrease its maintenance costs. The automaker has built a Peace of Mind strategy on four pillars – the cost of ownership, customer reach, convenience and transparency. To increase its reach, the Czech carmaker plans to extend its reach to Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities by setting up 185 after-sales touchpoints, including Skoda MobiCare.

To keep the process transparent, Skoda has also launched an online service cost calculator that can provide the cost estimate for the respective service intervals

The Kodiaq is praised for its solid build quality and reliability, which can contribute to lower long-term maintenance costs compared to some competitors.

Skoda is offering a complimentary 1-year Super Care package (SMP) for the Kodiaq. A 4-year Super Care package can be bought on top for 1+4 years. 10 years of roadside assistance (RSA) is provided as standard.

The Skoda Kodiaq’s service costs vary based on the specific service package, the year of the model, and whether it’s a free or paid service. Generally, a standard service for the Kodiaq can cost around Rs. 6,641 for the first service (15,000 km/12 months), with subsequent services ranging from Rs.14,814 to Rs. 18,013. Skoda also offers service packages like the SuperCare package, which can cost around Rs. 29,999 for a 4-year/60,000km coverage.
