10,000 Units of Mahindra XEV 9e, BE 6 electric SUVs delivered in 70 days

Mahindra has delivered over 10,000 electric SUVs, the XEV 9e and BE 6, in just 70 days, reflecting strong demand in India’s EV market.

The XEV 9e leads with 59% of bookings, while the BE 6 holds 41%.

Launched on November 27, 2024, the XEV 9e and BE 6 quickly gained traction, receiving over 30,000 bookings on the first day alone (February 14).

Notably, both the BE6 and XEV 9e are based on the same skateboard platform- INGLO

Price & Variants

The BE 6 is offered in five variants, priced between 18.90 lakh and 26.90 lakh (ex-showroom), while the XEV 9e comes in four trims ranging from 21.90 lakh to 30.50 lakh.

Battery Pack

Mahindra XEV 9e

The Mahindra XEV 9e comes with a 79 kWh battery pack, which has an ARAI-certified range of 659 km. It is capable of achieving a real-world range exceeding 500 km. There is also an option for a 59 kWh battery pack that offers a range of 542 km.

Mahindra BE 6

The Mahindra BE 6 is offered with a 79 kWh battery pack as well, which has an ARAI-certified range of 682 km on a single charge. Furthermore, the company provides a 59 kWh battery pack option that yields a range of 557 km.

Safety

Both SUVs have earned a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP, reinforcing Mahindra’s focus on safety and innovation in the electric vehicle space.

Waiting Period Reduced

Mahindra is expected to ramp up production of both electric SUVs, the minimum waiting period now stands at four months, down from six months in April 2025.
