Mercedes-Benz CLE 300 Cabriolet Launched at Rs 1.10 crore
Mercedes-Benz India has launched the CLE Cabriolet at Rs 1.1 crore (ex-showroom).
The new CLE is based on Mercedes’ Modular Rear Architecture (MRA) platform, shared with the current C-Class and the upcoming new-generation E-Class.
It can be exclusively booked on the Mercedes-Benz India website. The CLE Cabriolet is the third convertible available in India after the E 53 Cabriolet and the SL 55 Roadster.
The CLE Cabriolet will be imported to India via the CBU route.
Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet: Exterior

The CLE Cabriolet features a sleek, sporty design with a long wheelbase and low-slung profile that gives it an elegant look. The CLE borrows styling cues from the outgoing E-Class coupe.
It sports a ‘shark-nose’ design on the front end, a long bonnet, star pattern on the radiator grille and digital LED lights. The headlamps, while similar to the C-class, appear slightly larger and come with different DRL signatures, an automatic, multi-layered fabric hood that folds neatly into the boot.
The CLE 300 Cabriolet rides on 19-inch AMG alloy wheels.
The CLE’s soft top opens and closes within 20 seconds, up to speeds of 60kph. While, the roof can be had in either a red or black shade.
Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet: Interior
Inside, the CLE 300 Cabriolet features the same layout of the current C-Class. It features a 3-spoke steering wheel with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a portrait-style 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the centre. It has a 2+2 seating layout with newly designed front seats that include headrests, heating, and four-way lumbar support as standard. It also gets 64-colour ambient lighting, a 17-speaker Burmester sound system, a heads-up display, and a wireless phone charger, 710W output, AR navigation, HUD display, 360-degree camera, park assist, and blind spot assist.
Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet: Powertrain
The CLE 300 Cabriolet is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. It produces 255 BHP and 400 Nm and is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission.
The CLE Cabriolet can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 6.6 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h.
Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet: Competitors
The Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet will take on the BMW Z4.
