This September, automobile manufacturers across the price spectrum are preparing to launch new models. This month, we will witness car launches from a bunch of SUVs to flagship luxury EVs.
Here is a look at all the important car launches expected to take place in September 2024.
Tata Motors is gearing up for the new Curvv for the launch on 2 September 2024. The Curvv ICE will share a similar design and features with the electric version. The Curvv ICE will be offered in three powertrain options: a 1.2-liter petrol engine, a 1.5-liter turbodiesel, and the new Hyperion 1.2-liter direct-injection turbo petrol engine. Gearbox choices include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680
Mercedes-Benz is poised to elevate the luxury electric vehicle segment with the introduction of the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV on September 5, 2024. The Indian market will get the top-of-the-line 680 version. It will be powered by 108.4 kWh with twin motors on each axle and have an output of 658 bhp and 950 Nm of torque. According to Mercedes-Benz, the EQS SUV offers a range of around 600 km.
Hyundai Alcazar Facelift
Hyundai will launch the Facelift Alcazar on September 9. The three-two row SUV will receive a slew of design upgrades inspired by the Creta. The Hyundai Alcazar is expected to carry over the same set of powertrains as the outgoing models. The new Alcazar will boast a completely revamped cabin with plush interiors sporting dual 10.25-inch screens, new seats front and rear, rear ventilated, and adjustable underthigh support, among others.
Tata Nexon iCNG
The Nexon CNG, which was showcased earlier this year, will be equipped with Tata’s innovative dual-cylinder technology, promising improved fuel efficiency. The Nexon CNG will be mechanically identical to the current Nexon. Post its launch, the Nexon will have the widest powertrain options, including petrol, diesel, CNG, and EV.
MG Windsor EV
The Windsor EV will be MG’s first launch since its partnership with JSW, and will be launched on September 11. It will be the rebadged Wuling Cloud EV. In the international market, the Wuling Cloud EV gets a 50.6kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 460km and a 37.9kWh unit with a range of 360km. The Windsor EV will feature a spacious cabin, complete with a panoramic sunroof, LED lighting, and a large touchscreen infotainment system. The Windsor EV is expected to be priced competitively, under ₹20 lakh.
