JSW MG Motor India is gearing up to launch the new MG Windsor EV in the country. The MG Windsor will be the third EV offering from MG after the ZS EV and Comet. The Windsor EV is essentially a rebadged version of the Wuling Cloud EV, which will be launched in Indian markets as the first product under the new MG JSW joint venture.
The new MG Windsor EV will be launched in India on 11 September 2024.
Dimensionally, the Windsor EV measures 4,295 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, and 1,652 mm in height.
Notably, the MG Windsor EV will be India’s first Intelligent Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV).
MG recently announced all its upcoming cars from the brand will feature the MG-Jio ‘Innovative Connectivity Platform’ (MG-Jio ICP) as a standard inclusion.
Globally, the Windsor EV offers two battery options: 37.9 kWh and 50.6 kWh. Each configuration is paired with a single electric motor, providing a claimed range of 360 km and 460 km on a full charge. The India-spec MG Windsor EV is expected to be equipped with a 50.6 kWh battery that comes with a single motor (136 PS/200 Nm).
Inside, the MG Windsor EV will be equipped with a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 360-degree camera, electrically operated tailgate, and many other amazing features.
The MG Windsor will feature automatic LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, an electric tailgate, a 360-degree camera, and all four disc brakes. The cabin gets a 360-degree camera, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 6-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat and a 4-way adjustable powered front passenger seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and the rear bench has a sofa feature that can recline to 135 degrees.
Safety features include an electronic parking brake, a tire pressure monitoring system, a 360-degree camera, and more. The Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV) will also offer an ADAS suite.
