BMW has rolled out the refreshed 2025 X5 in India with prices starting at Rs 1 crore (ex showroom). The luxury SUV is available in both petrol and diesel options and comes in two main variants. Buyers also have the choice of an additional M Sport Pro package, which adds a more aggressive design and sportier touches. Production of the SUV will continue at BMW’s Chennai plant, making it a locally assembled model. This time around, the X5 is more adventure-ready too, thanks to a standard Off-road package that brings dedicated drive modes.

The latest X5 carries some neat design changes without moving away from its familiar stance. At the front the SUV gets slimmer LED headlamps with a sharper lighting pattern while the kidney grille and bumper have been revised slightly for a fresher look. On the sides the SUV runs on 21inch alloy wheels as standard which add to its strong road presence. Subtle aero touches on the fenders give the profile a sleeker look while the M Sport Pro version adds blacked out details for a sportier finish. At the back the highlight is the new LED tail lamps that now feature an X shaped signature instantly making the SUV stand out at night. The rear bumper has also been restyled.
Inside the X5 has received a big step up in terms of comfort and tech. The dashboard is now dominated by a large curved glass panel that houses two displays a 12.3inch driver’s screen and a 14.9inch touchscreen for infotainment. The layout looks minimal with fewer buttons while ambient lighting running across the fascia gives a premium glow.

On the safety side, the X5 is equipped with six airbags, electronic stability control, blind spot monitoring, tyre pressure monitoring, a 360-degree camera and level-2 ADAS functions, making it a safe and modern luxury SUV.
The new X5 continues with its trusted 3.0-litre six-cylinder engines one petrol and one diesel both paired with an 8 speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. Mild-hybrid technology has also been included for better efficiency and smoother performance.
All versions now come with the off-road package as standard offering four special drive modes Sand, Rocks, Gravel and Snow to help drivers tackle tough terrains with confidence.
