15 Sep 2025, 07:32 PM
- Tata Cars Cheaper: Price cuts after GST reduction.
- Save Up to ₹1.55 Lakh: Full GST benefits passed to buyers.

Tata Cars Price has dropped following the Indian government’s recent GST rate revisions, making the vehicles more affordable for customers. These changes will be effective from September 22, 2025, and are expected to offer significant savings across Tata’s ICE vehicle range.
How Much Can You Save On Tata Cars
Tata Motors has implemented varying price cuts across its range of vehicles. Below is a breakdown of the reductions:
| Model | Price Reduction (₹) |
|---|---|
| Tiago | Up to ₹75,000 |
| Tigor | Up to ₹80,000 |
| Altroz | Up to ₹1.1 lakh |
| Punch | Up to ₹85,000 |
| Nexon | Up to ₹1.55 lakh |
| Curvv | Up to ₹65,000 |
| Harrier | Up to ₹1.4 lakh |
| Safari | Up to ₹1.45 lakh |
GST Slab Changes and Impact
The revised GST slabs have led to a reduction in tax rates for various vehicle categories:
- Sub-4 metre (Petrol): GST reduced from 29% to 18%, resulting in an 11% saving.
- Sub-4 metre (Diesel): GST reduced from 31% to 18%, resulting in a 13% saving.
- Cars over 4 metres (up to 1,500cc): GST reduced from 45% to 40%, resulting in a 5% saving.
- SUVs over 4 metres (above 1,500cc): GST reduced from 50% to 40%, resulting in a 10% saving.
These reductions have directly contributed to the price cuts on Tata’s internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. However, electric vehicles (EVs) like the Nexon EV and Curvv EV continue to benefit from the existing 5% GST rate and are not affected by the recent changes.
Customer Benefits with Tata Cars Price Reduction
These price reductions present a significant opportunity for customers looking to purchase a Tata vehicle. The revised pricing makes owning a Tata car more accessible, especially with the upcoming festive season. Customers are encouraged to visit their local Tata Motors dealerships to explore the updated models and take advantage of the new pricing.
Tata Motors’ decision to pass on the full benefit of the GST rate reduction underscores its commitment to customer satisfaction and affordability. With the revised pricing, Tata vehicles offer enhanced value, making them an attractive option for prospective buyers.
