Kia Teases New Carnival MPV Facelift Ahead of October Launch

Kia India has officially started its teaser campaign for the new Carnival MPV, ahead of its launch on October 3.

The teased model is the facelift version of the fourth-gen Carnival, which made its global debut last year in November 2023.

The MPV is set to be imported to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). However, the company plans to localize production in the future.

The 2024 Kia Carnival is expected to be priced at Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom).

Exterior

The Kia Carnival facelift will offer a completely redesigned look with a massive signature “tiger-nose” grille, giving the MPV a much wider stance. Many styling elements and design cues have been borrowed from the EV line-up, like the upcoming EV9.

Interior

The India-bound MPV is expected to feature dual integrated screens, with both the infotainment touchscreen and the digital instrument cluster expected to be 12.3-inch units. Other noticeable bits include a connected LED taillamp and bumper cladding. Further, it is confirmed to get two sunroofs: one for the front-seat occupants and the other for the second-row passengers.

Dimensions

In terms of dimensions, the new Carnival has grown significantly, now stretching beyond 5 meters in length. This increase in dimensions is sure to enhance cabin space, providing a more comfortable seating experience, especially for rear passengers.

Powertrain

Internationally, the Carnival comes with multiple engine options: a 3.5-liter V6 petrol (287 PS/353 Nm) and a 1.6-liter petrol-hybrid (242 PS/367 Nm). Kia is yet to confirm which of these engine choices will be offered with the India-spec model. The previous-gen Carnival was offered with a 2.2-liter diesel-automatic powertrain on offer.
