Maserati MCPura- Engine And Performance
Ad
The Maserati MCPura and its convertible sibling are powered by the same 3.0 liter twin turbo V6 petrol engine. This engine delivers an impressive 630 hp and 720 Nm of torque paired with an 8 speed dual clutch automatic transmission. The coupe can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds placing it among the fastest models in its class.
Both versions of the MCPura are mid engined supercars, designed for maximum balance and performance. Maserati claims that the car’s aerodynamics and engine tuning were developed with precision to provide sharp handling and incredible straight line speed.
Interestingly, the MCPura Cielo is priced Rs 19 lakh less than the earlier MC20 Cielo which went on sale in India in May this year.
Maserati MCPura- Design And Exterior
Compared to the MC20 the Maserati MCPura features a more aggressive and aerodynamic design. Developed in collaboration with Dallara, a well known racing car engineering firm the model gets updates aimed at improving air flow and high speed stability.
Key Exterior Details
- A carbon fiber monocoque chassis that ensures rigidity while keeping weight low
- A kerb weight of around 1,500 kg, making it lighter and quicker on track
- Butterfly wing doors, which add visual drama and improve cabin access
- A vivid AI Aqua Rainbow color, which changes shades under sunlight to create a rainbow-like effect
- The coupe version gets a matte finish, while the Cielo convertible features a glossy coating
Maserati says the AI Aqua Rainbow finish is among the most striking new shades offered on its cars. The entire design philosophy behind the MCPura centers on reducing drag and improving aerodynamic efficiency making it a true performance-oriented supercar.
Maserati MCPura- Interior And Features
Inside the Maserati MCPura retains the same layout as the MC20 but gains several new details that enhance its sporty look and comfort.
Interior Highlights
- Alcantara upholstered seats with laser-etched 3D patterns offering both visual depth and firm support
- Contrasting trim details where the coupe uses glossy finishes while the convertible gets matte elements
- A digital instrument cluster and a central touchscreen for infotainment and car controls
- A three spoke steering wheel with integrated engine start/stop button and gearshift paddles
- Extensive carbon fiber inserts across the cabin for a racing inspired appearance
The use of premium materials and lightweight design reflects Maserati’s focus on creating a driver-first cockpit. Every control is placed for convenience ensuring comfort during both everyday driving and high-performance use.
Maserati MCPura- Platform And Construction
The Maserati MCPura is based on a carbon fiber monocoque structure which offers both strength and reduced overall mass. This structure also forms the foundation for the Cielo convertible which includes a retractable glass roof.
The roof can be opened or closed within seconds allowing the driver to enjoy open-air motoring without losing the coupe’s performance feel. Maserati’s engineering team ensured that even with the roof mechanism the convertible retains excellent rigidity and balance.
