Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6 Owners Can Now Access Their Cars Through Samsung Wallet

Samsung has introduced Digital Car Key compatibility with Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e through Samsung Wallet, offering more car owners a seamless way to use their Galaxy smartphones to unlock, lock, and start their vehicles.

The Digital Car Key feature is embedded inside Samsung Wallet on supported Galaxy phones. Once paired with the vehicle, the smartphone can function as the primary access point.

With this integration, Galaxy smartphone users can lock, unlock, and even start their Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6 using their phones, eliminating the need for a physical key.

Users can also share their Digital Car Key with friends and family through a QR code for limited time period, and each time when someone else access the car, the original owner gets a notification on the mobile.

If a device with an active Digital Car Key is lost or stolen, the owner can remotely lock the device or delete data including the Digital Car Key through Samsung’s Find service. The system is protected with authentication methods such as biometrics and PIN-based authentication for both privacy and vehicle security at all times.

Digital Key works with the Near Field Communication (NFC) modem on the Samsung phones. The car owner has to set up the Samsung Wallet’s integration with Mahindra EVs only once. And, the owner has to take it near the door handle, and the car automatically detects the Samsung phone to unlock and lock the door.

This collaboration makes Mahindra the first Indian original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to adopt Samsung’s digital car key technology.
