Nissan India Exports 12 Lakh Cars Continuing Commitment To Its “Make in India, Make for the World” Philosophy!
- Nissan operates under a "Make in India, Make for the World" strategy, positioning India as a strategic export hub for the Africa, Middle East, India, Europe, and Oceania (AMIEO) region.
- Nissan India exports models like the Magnite, Sunny, Kicks, and Micra to regions including Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and Southeast Asia.
Nissan Motor India has surpassed a major milestone by achieving a cumulative export of 12 Lakh vehicles from India.
Nissan recently shipped the 1.2 millionth made-in-India vehicle, a Magnite SUV, to the GCC region. The car was flagged off by Nissan Motor India MD Saurabh Vatsa from the Kamarajar Port in Tamil Nadu.
The Nissan Magnite, proudly “Made in India,” embodies Nissan’s ‘One Car, One World’ strategy. It is now sold in over 65 countries across both right-hand and left-hand drive markets, showcasing India’s manufacturing excellence on a global stage.
The export milestone reinforces Nissan’s global strategy and strengthens India’s position as a key manufacturing and export hub for the Japanese automaker.
Since the commencement of its export operations from India. Nissan has shipped a diverse portfolio of vehicles including the Nissan Magnite, Sunny, Kicks, and Micra to markets spanning Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and Southeast Asia.
Moreover, Nissan also plans to export a new C-segment SUV, the Nissan Tekton, from India next year.
Nissan entered the Indian market in 2005 through a joint venture and later established independent operations. The company’s Chennai plant, which has an annual production capacity of 480,000 units, serves as the production base for both domestic sales and exports.
