Volkswagen Virtus has recorded its highest-ever monthly sales in October 2025 with 2,453 units sold.
The VW Virtus is currently one of the most popular sedans in India and it is enjoying the perks of its popularity. It now commands over 40% market share in its segment, reaffirming its growing popularity among Indian buyers.
The achievement highlights Volkswagen’s growing relevance in India’s premium car segment, driven by customers who prioritize design, driving dynamics, performance, and safety.
With prices ranging from Rs 11.16 lakh to Rs 18.73 lakh (ex-showroom), the Virtus competes in the mid-size sedan segment against the Hyundai Verna, Honda City and its platform sibling, the Skoda Slavia.

The Virtus sedan is noted for its performance and safety features, including six airbags, over 40 safety features, 5-star GNCAP safety ratings, 1.0 l TSI and 1.5 l TSI Evo engine options.
The Volkswagen Virtus comes loaded with features like LED headlamps and taillamps, electric sunroof, front ventilated seats,10-inch touchscreen infotainment, 8-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, wireless charger and cruise control.
Moreover, the Virtus GT Plus holds a national record for a 24-Hour Endurance Drive, covering a maximum distance of 4,654.48 km in 24 hours.
The announcement comes alongside another important achievement for Volkswagen’s India 2.0 product line. Both the Taigun SUV and the Virtus sedan have collectively surpassed 160,000 units in sales within the domestic market since their launches.
Facelifted versions of the Taigun and Virtus have already been spotted as test mules on the Indian roads with a heavy camouflage. With this strong sales momentum and upcoming launches, Volkswagen is ready for an exciting phase in India, combining its German engineering with a better understanding of Indian customer needs.
