Domestic Passenger Vehicle Sales Near 1.71 Lakh Units

Domestic passenger vehicle (PV) sales rose sharply. Maruti Suzuki registered 1,70,971 units in November 2025, compared to 1,41,312 units during the same month last year

The increase came mainly from two key groups:

  • Mini + Compact segment
  • Utility Vehicle portfolio

Both categories showed strong acceptance among Indian buyers who look for affordable options as well as feature rich SUVs

Mini and Compact Segment See Strong Jump

This combined category includes top selling models such as Alto, S-Presso, Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift and WagonR. Together they delivered 85,273 units, up from 71,123 units in November 2024

To show the segment split clearly, the numbers are shown below:

SegmentNovember 2025 SalesNovember 2024 Sales
Mini segment12,347 units9,750 units
Compact segment72,926 units61,373 units

Why This Segment Grew

  • Compact cars continue to be preferred by city buyers for ease of driving
  • Upgrades in features and safety have made models more appealing
  • Many buyers are choosing compact sedans and hatchbacks for their mix of price and performance

Utility Vehicles Maintain High Growth

Maruti’s Utility Vehicle (UV) range again posted excellent numbers. The lineup includes Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, Victoris and XL6

This category recorded 72,498 units, much higher than 59,003 units last year

What Made UVs Perform Well

  • Rising preference for SUVs and MPVs in all price brackets
  • Better features, stronger styling and more practical space
  • Wider acceptance among families and long distance travellers

SUVs remain one of Maruti Suzuki’s strongest growth areas and continue to attract a large number of new buyers

Eeco Continues Its Steady Demand

The Eeco van, which is popular among small businesses and families who need a practical people-mover, posted 13,200 units in November 2025. This is higher than 10,589 units sold in the same month last year

Its simple design, strong mileage and spacious cabin keep it relevant for both commercial and personal use

Light Commercial Vehicle and OEM Numbers Also Add to Growth

The Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) “Super Carry” delivered 3,622 units, compared to 2,926 units a year earlier. The model remains a good choice for businesses needing a small and reliable load-carrier

Maruti Suzuki also sold 8,371 units to other OEMs (Toyota). This is slightly below the 8,660 units supplied in November 2024, but still contributes strongly to total volumes

When PV, LCV and OEM figures are added together, total domestic dispatches touched 1,82,964 units, up from 1,52,898 units last year

Exports Deliver Huge Boost

One of the standout highlights for November 2025 was Maruti Suzuki’s export performance. The company shipped 46,057 units, compared to 28,633 units in November 2024

This represents more than 60% growth and shows that the brand’s presence is becoming stronger in regions such as:

  • Africa
  • Middle East
  • Latin America
  • ASEAN countries

Such strong international demand helps Maruti Suzuki balance out slowdowns in local markets and keeps production lines running efficiently

Overall Performance for November 2025

With solid domestic volumes and a remarkable export tally, Maruti Suzuki ended November 2025 with 2,29,021 units in total. This places the month among the company’s best-performing periods of the year

The figures reflect strong buyer trust, steady demand in the compact and UV categories and growing global interest in Maruti Suzuki vehicles
