Skoda Kodiaq RS Performance SUV Launched at Rs 66.99 Lakh in India

Skoda Kodiaq RS has been launched in India at a price of Rs 66.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Brought into the country as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) import, this is the first time Skoda has introduced its iconic performance “RS” badge to an SUV body style in India.

Skoda allocated a hyper-exclusive batch of just 50 units for the Indian market on 22 June. In typical RS-enthusiast fashion, all 50 units were completely booked within six minutes when the windows opened.

Design

The Skoda Kodiaq RS is a sharper, sportier version of the regular Kodiaq, positioned above the luxury-focused L&K variant. Designed for driving enthusiasts, the Skoda Kodiaq RS performance SUV adopts a much more aggressive stance. This sportier look is driven by track-inspired front and rear bumpers, exclusive ‘RS’ badging on the front grille and tailgate, and massive 20-inch alloy wheels that fill out the arches. A slightly larger, aerodynamically optimized roof spoiler and polished stainless-steel dual exhaust tips further emphasize its high-performance DNA. To complete the stealthy look, Skoda has applied a premium gloss black finish across key exterior elements. This deep black treatment coats the signature front grille, outer rear-view mirrors (ORVMs), upper window frames, roof rails, and the distinct D-pillar.

Interior & Features

Inside, the Kodiaq RS features an all-black interior with red accents that highlights its racing heritage. The premium cabin comes equipped with a 3-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, a 10.24-inch digital instrument cluster, and a massive 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the center. Other premium features include heated and ventilated front seats with memory functions, dual wireless charging pads, and automatic climate control.

Competitors

The Kodiaq RS rivals the Volkswagen Tayron R-line, which is also based on the MQB Evo platform. However, the Tayron is locally assembled in India and is significantly more affordable at Rs 46.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
