After Mumbai, Tesla To Launch New Store In Delhi Today
- Tesla Delhi showroom opens at Aerocity’s Worldmark 3.
- Second store in India after the brand’s Mumbai debut.
Just weeks after stepping into India with its first showroom in Mumbai, Tesla is opening doors to its second store this time in Delhi’s Aerocity.
The new Tesla store Delhi is located inside the premium Worldmark 3 complex, making it easy for customers from across the NCR to check out Tesla’s cars in person. Even if you’re not in Delhi, you can still book a car online through the company’s official website.

Why Delhi for the First Store?

Choosing New Delhi for Tesla’s debut location is hardly surprising. The city is one of India’s largest automotive markets with a growing interest in electric vehicles. Delhi has also been aggressive in pushing EV adoption through incentives, subsidies and infrastructure expansion.
From a strategic standpoint the national capital offers Tesla visibility among policymakers, influencers, and high-net-worth individuals all of whom could play a role in shaping the company’s growth here. The store is expected to be located in a premium area, possibly within a high-end shopping or commercial district, similar to Tesla’s store formats in other countries.
The Model Y – Still Tesla’s Only India Model
AD
For now, Tesla is sticking to one model for India—the Tesla Model Y. It’s available in two versions:
- Standard (Rear-Wheel Drive) – starts at ₹60 lakh.
- Standard Long Range (Rear-Wheel Drive) – costs more but can travel farther on a single charge.
Performance at a glance:
- Standard version: 235 bhp, up to 500 km range, 0–100 km/h in 5.9 seconds.
- Long Range version: 335 bhp, up to 622 km range, 0–100 km/h in 5.6 seconds.
Charging Made Easier
Owning an EV is easier when charging options are sorted. Tesla has covered that with:
- Home charging via a wall-mounted unit.
- Quick charging that adds up to 267 km in just 15 minutes.
The company already has 4 fast chargers running in Mumbai. Another 4 will go live in Delhi soon after the new Tesla dealership Delhi starts operations.
The Competitive Landscape
Tesla isn’t the only name in India’s EV race.
- From India: Tata Motors with its Harrier EV, and Mahindra with the BE 6 and XEV 9e.
- From abroad: BYD with its Sealion 7 (567 km range) and VinFast with the upcoming VF 6 and VF 7.
Most rivals price their EVs lower than the Tesla new showroom Delhi’s Model Y, making the competition intense.
The opening of the Tesla Delhi showroom is a big step in expanding the brand’s reach in India. With the Model Y, Tesla is aiming for buyers who want premium electric mobility backed by a growing charging network. The next few months will show how Delhi responds to this global EV giant’s arrival.
