BMW India has discontinued the 6 Series GT from its lineup.

The 6 Series GT was first introduced in 2017 and received an update in April 2021. However, reports stated that the model wasn’t a market success, and due to the low demand, BMW decided to discontinue its product.

The 6 Series GT was a long-wheelbase version of the previous-gen 5 Series. The 6 Series GT was initially a replacement for the 5 Series Gran Tourismo and was offered with both petrol and diesel powertrains.

It was offered with three variants: 630i M Sport, 620d Luxury Line, 630d M Sport.

Notably, the 6 Series GT was not only built at its home in Dingolfing but also in India at BMW’s Chennai factory as well as in Kulim, Malaysia from complete knock-down (CKD) kits.
