The new-gen Ford Endeavour is most likely to be launched in the country in 2025.

Ford India is gearing up for a reintroduction of the Endeavour SUV to the Indian market, and excitingly, it’s expected to be rebranded as the Everest.

The new SUV will initially be available as a CBU (Completely Built-Up Unit). The Government of India allows automakers to import 2,500 units without a homologation process. Ford India is considering bringing in a small number of imports as a way to return to the market faster.

India’s production of Everest could start by late 2025 or 2026. Interestingly, the SUV comes with different features depending on the country it is sold in.

The Toyota Fortuner is currently dominating the large SUV segment.
New Ford Everest exterior and styling

The new Ford Endeavour (previously popular as Endeavour) gets a muscular look with its massive grille featuring dual chrome bars connecting the two headlamps.

The styling is inspired by the new F-150 Raptor, featuring a new 3D radiator grille with vertical slats, stylish dual barrel projector headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, a wider air-intake, and a new fog lamp housing.

From the side, the Ford Endeavour maintains its rugged SUV stance with its boxy proportions and stands on massive 21-inch alloy wheels. The massive road presence does get missed on Indian roads.

The color options include Arctic White, Aluminum Metallic, Meteor Grey, Shadow Black, Blue Lightning, Sedona Orange, and Equinox Bronze.
Interior

The new-generation Ford Everest, previously known as the Endeavour, boasts a newly designed interior.

more features and premium touches. It offers a three-spoke steering wheel, remote start, a charging pad, and is packed with a vertical 12-inch touchscreen infotainment unit that includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, ventilated and heated front seats, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, a 12-speaker B&O sound system, a powered tailgate, and ambient lighting.
New Ford Everest Safety

Ford Endeavour key safety features include 9 airbags, electronic stability control, and ADAS L2 with Pre-Collision Assist, Lane Keeping System, Reverse Brake Assist, and Parking Assist.

In addition, it also includes an engine immobilizer, an electronic parking brake, child locks, and anchor points for child seats. The Ford Endeavour gets an impressive 5-star NCAP safety rating.
Powertrain

The global Ford Endeavour (previously popular as Endeavour) offers multiple engine options: two 2.0-liter diesel variants (single and twin-turbo), a 2.0-liter bi-turbo inline-4 engine producing 200 hp and 500 nm of torque, or a 3.0-liter V6 diesel powerhouse producing 243 hp and 600 nm of torque, both mated to a 10-speed transmission.

However, Ford will bring the 2.0-liter bi-turbo to India.
The smaller bi-turbo unit might be better for competitive pricing reasons here in India.
Competitors of the Ford Everest

Once launched, it will compete against SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Jeep Meridian, and Skoda Kodiaq.
