Maharashtra is all set to witness a historic milestone in Indian motorsport as the Navi Mumbai Formula night street race gears up to take place this December. This will be the state’s first-ever night street race, promising a spectacular show for racing fans. Racing Promotions Pvt. Ltd. (RPPL) has partnered with the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. With this collaboration, Navi Mumbai will host its very first FIA-grade street racing circuit putting it on the global motorsport map
Maharashtra Motorsport Event: A Night to Remember
The Navi Mumbai Formula night street race will serve as the grand finale of the 2025 Indian Racing Festival (IRF). The streets of Navi Mumbai will transform into a 3.753 km FIA-grade street circuit with 14 challenging turns. The track fully illuminated for night racing will wind along Palm Beach Road and the scenic areas near Nerul Lake. Fans can expect a thrilling experience as some of the best Indian and international racers compete for top positions on this demanding course
This event is part of a broader effort to strengthen Maharashtra as a hub for motorsport making it one of the few states in India to host such an internationally standardized street race
Double-Header Racing Weekend
The festival will feature a double header weekend with exciting races
- Indian Racing League (IRL): A high profile league with franchise based teams owned by celebrities. The IRL has already gained attention for its competitive and action packed racing format
- Formula 4 Indian Championship (F4IC): FIA-certified and aimed at nurturing young racing talent, the F4IC allows drivers to gain valuable points for international racing progression
The combination of fast corners, technical sections and night time lighting will create a unique racing atmosphere comparable to some of the iconic night races around the world.

The festival will also feature teams owned by well-known celebrities, adding glamour to the high-speed action:

Government Support And Economic Impact
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis welcomed the event, saying “The Mumbai Street Race is a historic moment for Maharashtra’s motorsport journey. It shows our ability to host international standard events, promote tourism, and create job opportunities. This will inspire young racers and encourage talent in engineering, technology and event management”
RPPL chairman and managing director Akhilesh Reddy added, “Mumbai known as the city that never sleeps, will provide an electric and vibrant atmosphere for this night race. This event sets a new standard for motorsport in India, following our successful street races in Hyderabad and Chennai.”

The Indian Racing Festival has already held exciting street races in Hyderabad and Chennai. The 2025 season included rounds in Coimbatore and Goa. With Navi Mumbai now hosting the grand finale the festival strengthens its mission to build a sustainable and world class motorsport ecosystem in India.
This December the streets of Navi Mumbai will come alive with the roar of engines and cheering fans. The combination of speed, lights and scenic backdrops will make this a must-watch event.
