- The City e:HEV has an amphibian ability to run both on fossil fuels as well as battery. This reduces fuel consumption, emission levels, and ambient noise.
Honda City e:HEV, commonly known as the City Hybrid’s price have been increased by Rs 29,900, bringing the new total to Rs 20.85 Lakh (ex-showroom).
This makes the City e:HEV one of the pricier sedans in its segment, especially when compared to rivals like the Hyundai Verna and Skoda Slavia, which are mostly available with petrol engines only.
The Honda City e:HEV sedan with the hybrid powertrain was launched in India in May 2022 is only available in the top-end ZX variant. Notably, the mid-spec V trim of the City Hybrid was discontinued in April last year.
The Honda City Hybrid continues to offer a compelling choice for those seeking a combination of performance, fuel efficiency and advanced technology in the sedan segment.
Honda City Hybrid uses a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a hybrid system, offering a combined output of 126 PS and 253 Nm. It comes with an e-CVT gearbox.
Mileage
Honda claims that the City hybrid offers a fuel efficiency of 26.5 kmpl and a range of 1,000 km. The sedan’s hybrid version features an eCVT and a battery pack fitted in the boot. In start/stop driving conditions, the model runs in electric-only mode.
Feature Rich
Honda City Hybrid does come equipped with a lot of features, though. Honda offers advanced safety aids like ADAS, which includes Lane Keep Assist, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control and Auto High Beam.
Moreover, the introduction of ADAS began with the City hybrid in May 2022, gradually extending to other models, including the non-hybrid City, Elevate, and Amaze, showcasing Honda’s dedication to enhancing driver safety and convenience through advanced technologies.
Some notable features include:
- 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay
- Digital instrument cluster
- Leather upholstery
- LED headlamps and tail lamps
- electric sunroof,
